Parkridge Amenities

Developed in the 1980s as a residential extension of the neighbouring Fairhaven—in fact, it was originally called “Fairhaven I”—there are no commercial amenities within Parkridge. However, this certainly doesn’t mean that you will be without while living here! Right beside the community, you’ll find the newly-developed SmartCentres Saskatoon West, which offers all the amenities you may need, including shopping, groceries, gas, restaurants, medical offices, and more. Plus, you can easily get downtown within minutes via 22nd Street W, bordering the neighbourhood to the north.

What it doesn’t have in the way of commercial amenities, Parkridge does make up for in recreation and lifestyle. There are over 41 acres of parkland in the neighbourhood, and the adjacent Shaw Centre gives you easy access to sports fields, pools, fitness facilities, and much more. There are also 2 schools in Parkridge, as well—James L. Alexander School, a public elementary school, and St. Marguerite School, a Catholic elementary school. And 2 high schools, Tommy Douglas Collegiate and Bethlehem Catholic High School, are directly north in the Blairmore Suburban Centre.
