Pleasant Echo Lake sits along the Qu’Appelle Valley, 313 km southeast outside Saskatoon. Named after the echo heard by First Nations while paddling on the lake, this lake is one of the four lakes that make up the Fishing Lakes. Nestled in the Echo Valley Provincial Park, nearby Echo Lake has many recreational activities to participate in. The park features camping, hiking, and access to the lake for boating, fishing, and swimming. Enjoy a day at the beach with a playground, change rooms, and public barbecues. Nature lovers will enjoy the interpretive programming and three km trail for exploring this beautiful area. Echo Lake is also home to the Saskatchewan Fish Hatchery, which produces between 40 and 50 million total fish annually.
