Situated 264 southeast from Saskatoon, the RM of Cupar No. 218 hosts a population of 503, giving it a population density of 0.6/km². Within the RM lies the town of Southey and the village of Markinch. The two heritage properties in this area are the Gregherd School Site, a one-room schoolhouse and monument, and Wheatwyn Church, a fieldstone church built in a Vernacular Gothic style.
