Stationed 370 km southwest from Saskatoon, the RM of Auvergne No. 76 features a strong community with a population of 412 and a population density of 0.5/km². The RM is the home to four historic properties, including the three archaeological sites of Napao Site, Niska Site, and Tillet Hills, which all have been the home to pre-contact remains. The last heritage property is that of Pinto River School, a one-room schoolhouse that has been used as a community centre.
