Positioned 165 km north from Saskatoon, the RM of Birch Hills No. 460 is home to a population of 656 and a population density of 1.2/km². The RM is named after the hills to the southeast and the birch trees which once covered the area. The RM hosts the town of Birch Hills and the hamlets of Brancepeth and Hagen and lies within the School Division of Saskatchewan Rivers.
